During this year, she won a National Award for a community pharmacy project undertaken which involved medication management for asylum seekers and foreign workers. This project later became the topic of a post-graduate doctorate in Trinity College where Leonie was a consultant. Leonie and her staff now operate 7 pharmacies while maintaining the independent, local family approach to healthcare.
